North Star has been inspired by ideas of the urban and natural elements that can be found near the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. Look carefully to spot references to architecture and bridges, water and sky, animals and habitats.

The design has been created in collaboration with artist Sue Loughlin and children from The Cedars Academy as part of the Baltic Stars programme, which is sponsored by North Standard. North Star reflects the North Standard motto “Taking on tomorrow, together” through the use of geometric forms and symbols of communal fauna.
