Our sculpture was inspired by…The ethos and values of our school.
Sunflowers not only have a sun-like appearance, they exhibit a trait called heliotropism, which means that they constantly look to face the sun. They will actually look to the sun throughout the day, just like we at Collingwood constantly look to provide opportunities for all pupils to make the best possible progress. And just like sunflowers grow to exceptional heights, we here at Collingwood strive for pupils to attain the highest personal achievements.
Sunflowers are known as “happy” flowers, and here at Collingwood we have happy pupils and a happy team of dedicated staff that shine all day, every day.
It’s farewell to our fab-ewe-lous flock!
115 sheep, ten baa-rilliant weeks, two exciting finale events, one important cause.
