🐑 And the grand total is in! 🐑
We are delighted to announce that, thanks to your support, Shaun on the Tyne has raised a fab-ewe-lous £310,000 for @stoswaldsuk! 💛
As well as the whopping £195,400 raised at auction, the remaining money has come in through sponsorship, merchandise, app sales, ticketed events, raffles and community and schools fundraising. What a baa-rilliant achievement, only made possible by you, our flock of Shaun on the Tyne supporters. Thank ewe so, so much! 🙌
All the funds will go towards the hospice’s running costs and allow its team to support the children, adults and their families who rely on its services. A very fitting end to a summer of @shaunthesheep spotting, making memories and moments to share and spending quality time with those we love. 🥰

Our intrepid explorer, Ram-bler, painted by Evelyn Sinclair – @sinclair_illustration has gone off on his adventures, travelling across the country to Cumbia where he has settled into his forever home. We love this photo of him with his artist and his new family! 😎🐑
He now lives with his trail sponsors, @emgsolicitors, in their office in Penrith and from what we hear, he’s already made a big impression, bringing joy to EMG’s colleagues as well as those in the local community. 😀🏡
EMG Solicitors have been long-time supporters of @stoswaldsuk art trails, with Spocky Dog, painted by @hilarysanderson from 2016’s Great North Snowdog trail in their Durham office and Summer Flowers, painted by @emilywardartist from Elmer’s Great North Parade in 2019 displayed in their Gosforth office. Find out more about their loveable mascots by clicking the link in our bio! 👆
Thanks to Evelyn for creating such a wonderful character in Ram-bler and to EMG Solicitors for their continued support of the hospice’s work. 💛

Our sparkly Shaun, Purple Reign, painted by David Maguire, has found a fab-ewe-lous new home with her trail sponsors @thenbs at their Newcastle office. 💜🐑✨
Izy Herrera, Interim Senior Marketing Manager at NBS said:
“We wanted to support a brilliant local cause as part of our 50 Acts of Kindness initiative for 2023 which was part of celebrating our 50 year anniversary. NBS had an aim to complete 50 acts this year, ranging from fundraising, charity events, bake sales, food bank donations and volunteering. Sponsoring and then buying our Shaun has helped us to hit our target. We worked with the artist and felt the design brought to life our 50 year celebrations in a fun and vibrant way.”
Izy was bidding online on the night. She added:
“I was bidding against another person who was in the room, it was very tense and super exciting, and I was concerned I might not win. I was relieved when the hammer went down as so many colleagues wanted to bring her home to our office in Newcastle.”
Purple Reign has settled in well in the ‘Hub’ a central area for NBS colleagues, where she is getting lots of love and attention. Their plan is to keep her as a main feature in the office and a constant reminder of 2023 where the company celebrated 50 years of NBS. Thank you so much to them for their support of @stoswaldsuk. 💛

Wor Shaun 🤝 True Potential 🤝 Landmarks
Last week, trail favourite Wor Shaun, created by @worflags was treated to his very own homecoming party, as his new family at @truepotentialllp opened up their head office to visitors, to welcome their new addition to the team! 🖤🤍🖤🤍
There were Shaun-themed cupcakes, competitions, games and more celebrations and it’s safe to say that Wor Shaun was welcomed with open arms! As our highest selling @shaunthesheep of the auction, we are delighted to hear he has gone to a good home, and will join his black and white buddy, Landmarks, an Elmer painted by artist @powder_butterfly, that the company bought in 2019 at auction. 🐑🏡🐘

Trail sponsors @greggs_official were part of our Shaun on the Tyne Community Programme and they worked with local artist @julia_jddi and the children at Welbeck Academy in Walker to create a design that encapsulate their ideas of what makes their ‘Perfect Day.’ Greggs had a previous link to the school, as a provider of their breakfast club.
Julia was able to bring all of the creative ideas together into a beautiful design, that adored two @shaunthesheep, one big and one little, throughout the trail. 🐑
Little Perfect Day has been returned to the young people at Welbeck Academy, to love and keep forever, but its larger namesake has gone to live at Greggs’ Head Office in Newcastle. He is joined by a new friend, HAPI, an Elmer created by Steve Johnson – @sandraandsteveart in 2019 for our previous trail. We hope HAPI is good with heights! 🐘
Thank you to Greggs for their support of @stoswaldsuk and to Julia and the young people at Welbeck Academy for their ideas and creativity. 💛

We are delighted to announce a new forever home for one of our flock, and this time the lucky sheep is Ewe-reka, painted by artist @loiscordelia and sponsored on the trail by @geabcareers. 🎆🐑💡
Ewe-Reka was snapped up at auction by the team at Cavu Corporate Finance, and she has settled in well at their Newcastle office. 🏡
Managing Director Shawn Bone said:
“We wanted to buy a @shaunthesheep as a way to support the families who use @stoswaldsuk services. It’s an amazing thing that they do and it is our privilege to help out where we can. We were drawn to Ewe-reka as the designs local landmarks on the design resonated with us as a local business.
“She’s now sitting proudly in our office and keeping an eye on the team. We bought a Snowdog, Ziggy, in 2016, who now lives in Corbridge, but Ewe-reka will be sticking with us for a while, we love having her here.”
Thanks to Shawn and his team for their support, we can’t wait to work together again in the future. 💛
