Wednesday 19th July – Wednesday 27th September 2023

Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne is a glorious celebration of everything we love about our region. It’s beautiful parks, bustling streets and public spaces will come alive with colour and conversations, as our flock of individually designed and painted Shaun the Sheep sculptures bring joy (and a little bit of mischief) to the summer of 2023.

A dedicated trail map and App will help you navigate your way to discovering each sculpture, where you can unlock a series of rewards and fun facts.

Young people from north east schools and community groups will also have an exciting opportunity to decorate their own little Shaun sculpture, which will form its own mini flock and take over venues across Tyne & Wear. This creative learning programme, sponsored by Northumbrian Water, will help to educate students on the importance of recycling and reusing precious resources.

Following the public trail, the large Shauns will be auctioned off to raise vital funds and awareness of St Oswald’s Hospice, allowing the charity to continue their vital work with north east families with life-limiting conditions.
